Javier Coronado, Partner of Diaz Reus International Law Firm in Miami, gave a presentation on “International Corruption Prosecutions in the U.S.: A Defense Perspective”, during the first international congress “Fighting Corruption and Asset Recovery”, which took place in Bogota (Colombia), on August 17 and 18, 2023.
The event, organized by the National Police of Colombia, the Embassy of the United States in Colombia, and PADE (Pan American Development Foundation), was attended by the President of the Republic of Colombia, the Deputy Attorney General of Colombia, the Attorney General of Colombia, the Director of the National Police, and the Ambassador of the United States in Colombia.
Javier Coronado, licensed to practice law in both the United States and Colombia, and with experience in international litigation related to white collar crime and government investigations, worked on the largest FCPA -Foreign Corrupt Practices Act- asset recovery case in the history of South Florida,
At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Coronado was honored for his contribution.
