Biography


Zhen Pan helps clients resolve their disputes in trial and appellate courts nationwide. Zhen focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation involving fraud and financial misconduct, business torts, unfair and deceptive practice, securities litigation, shareholder disputes, corporate governance, and professional liability defense. Zhen also has extensive experience in intellectual property matters, representing multinational technology companies in trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes. Outside the courtroom, Zhen helps clients formulate strategies to achieve their business goals and navigate technology and privacy concerns.

In addition to commercial litigation, Zhen represents individuals and companies in response to government investigations and white-collar litigation.

Prior to joining Diaz, Reus & Targ, Zhen worked at a prestigious international law firm practicing high-stakes commercial litigation and represented clients in response to government investigations. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Thomas Logue of the Florida Third District Court of Appeal, worked at law school’s pro bono clinic representing underserved investors against brokers’ misconduct, did an externship at a Miami-based Fortune 500 company, and worked at the legal department of the National Basketball Association (NBA), Beijing office.

Born and raised in China and trained as a U.S. litigator, Zhen interprets clients’ needs and concerns from a different perspective and applies cultural considerations to problem solving and client relationship maintenance.

Zhen is native in Mandarin.

  • Obtained dismissal, on motion to dismiss, of a lawsuit brought by a condominium hotel against its commercial tenant and, after the court found entitlement to an award of attorneys’ fees and costs, settled the fee amount on favorable terms.
  • Represented a Venezuelan family in a shareholder dispute involving complex claims for breaches of fiduciary duties against a major league baseball player.
