I was born in Panama City on November 25, 1957 in a large and close-knit family, with a strong social and political root. I did my studies at Colegio Javier, an institution run by Jesuit, who instilled solid civic values and morals as well as a strong sense of social solidarity. I studied law at the University of Panama while working with an important law firm as a paralegal assistant.
Upon receiving me as a lawyer in 1984, I worked for a year at the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, as an advisor to the department of trademarks and commerce, and then between 1985 and 1989, as a partner in the firm Jácome, Pazmiño & Suero.
In 1994, with the return of democracy in Panama, I worked as head of the legal department of the Presidency of the Republic during the government of President Guillermo Endara and in 1995, founded the firm Jacome de la Guardia & Asociados. From 1999 to 2003 he worked the speeches of President Mireya Moscoso, and from 2004 to 2007 as Director of the Judicial Technical Police. Between 2001 and 2002, I was deputy Judge of the Supreme Court of Justice.
Since 2006, I have been a partner in the firm Cruz, Jácome and Villarreal. I speak Spanish and English.
