Biography
Zhen Pan represents clients in high-stakes disputes in trial and appellate courts nationwide. His practice encompasses a broad range of business litigation matters, including disputes involving fraud and financial misconduct, business torts, unfair and deceptive trade practices, securities litigation, shareholder disputes, corporate governance, and professional liability defense. Zhen also has significant experience handling intellectual property disputes, representing multinational technology companies in trademark, copyright, patent, and trade secret matters, as well as in matters involving brand protection and enforcement. In addition, Zhen advises clients on litigation strategy, business risk, and issues at the intersection of technology and privacy.
Zhen has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, as well as other state and federal courts. He has also filed a petition for a writ of certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court involving issues related to data scraping.
In addition to commercial litigation, Zhen represents individuals and companies in response to government investigations and white-collar matters.
Before joining Diaz, Reus & Targ, Zhen practiced at a prestigious international law firm, where he handled complex commercial litigation and government investigations. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Thomas Logue of Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal, completed an externship with a Miami-based Fortune 500 company, and served in the legal department of the National Basketball Association (NBA), Beijing office.
Born and raised in China and trained as a U.S. litigator, Zhen brings a distinct cross-cultural perspective to his practice. He is adept at understanding clients’ needs from multiple vantage points and incorporating cultural considerations into problem-solving and client service.
Zhen is native in Mandarin.
