Biography
Fernando Castañeda Melgar, a graduate of Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, with a master in Business Law, works with national and foreign companies, entities and individuals in corporate matters with a special focus on real estate, contracts, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and competition and consumer protection law in Peru. Sectors of particular expertise include gas and oil, retail, pharmaceuticals and real estate.

Admitted to the Lima Bar Association, license number 22288, Fernando is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce and is a Director of the Italian Chamber of Commerce.
He is an arbitrator for the Lima Chamber of Commerce and the National Mandatory of companies engaged in hydrocarbon exploration activities.
He advises the Foreign Bank Representation Offices on mergers and takeovers in Peru and abroad, and also counsels on syndicated loan structuring.
In addition to attending and presenting at many global conferences, such as the International Bar Association, Latin Finance, and the FIA, among others, Fernando Castañeda appears regularly in media—TV, radio and print—to give perspective and opinion on new laws, real estate trends, and regulated investments in Peru.
