Biography
Isabela Hernandez-Peredo is an international attorney licensed to practice law in New York and Mexico, bringing her legal experience to Diaz Reus’ extensive Latin America practice. She regularly represents individuals and corporations in complex cross-border matters, including international litigation, asset recovery, economic sanctions, OFAC compliance, and the design and implementation of corporate compliance programs.
Prior to joining Diaz Reus, Isabela practiced at one of Mexico’s most prestigious law firms, where she advised on strategy development for defending and resolving complex commercial disputes across key economic industries, including infrastructure, finance, energy, environmental, and antitrust. She represented clients in both administrative and judicial proceedings before Mexican courts and regulatory authorities.

Assisted in the successful representation of a client in the unblocking of $4,359,746.92 that was wrongfully blocked by a Puerto Rican bank under OFAC sanctions related to Venezuela. We represented the client in the administrative process and in litigation against OFAC under the Administrative Procedure Act.
