Biography


Isabela Hernandez-Peredo is a foreign attorney licensed to practice law in Mexico, bringing her legal experience to Diaz Reus’ deep Latin America practice.

Before joining Diaz Reus, Isabela practiced litigation at one of Mexico’s most prestigious law firms. She advises on strategy development for defending and resolving complex commercial disputes across key economic industries, including infrastructure, finance, energy, environmental, and antitrust. She has handled these matters in both administrative and judicial court proceedings.

Isabela holds an LL.M. from the University of Miami Law School, with a focus on international arbitration. She also holds an LL.B. from Universidad Panamericana.

Isabela is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English.

  • Assisted in the successful representation of a client in the unblocking of $4,359,746.92 that was wrongfully blocked by a Puerto Rican bank under OFAC sanctions related to Venezuela. We represented the client in the administrative process and in litigation against OFAC under the Administrative Procedure Act.
