Three Diaz Reus Partners Among the First to be Board Certified in International Litigation & Arbitration

 

Miami, August 6, 2019 – Miami-based global law firm Diaz, Reus & Targ announced that partners Gary E. DavidsonMichael Diaz, Jr. and Brant C. Hadaway are among the first attorneys to be Board Certified in International Litigation & Arbitration by the Florida Bar.
Gary E. Davidson, a member of the inaugural Board Certification Committee for International Litigation and Arbitration (appointed in 2018), spearheaded the creation of this board certification program, the first in the United States. Throughout his distinguished career, he has obtained favorable judgments on behalf of clients in complex international litigation, arbitration and commercial disputes. He has also served as an adjunct professor and visiting lecturer of law at universities in both the United States and Europe.
Michael Diaz, Jr. is a multilingual litigator, trial lawyer, and arbitral advocate with 33 years of experience advising clients, trying cases, and negotiating resolutions to complex civil, arbitral and criminal disputes. He has extensive experience handling visa recovery efforts, FCPA and OFAC violations, and Specially Designated Nationals classifications. He regularly counsels on arbitration and litigation strategies and conducts parallel investigations in complex, high-stakes regulatory, investigative and compliance matters that involve financial fraud, international asset recovery and white-collar crime.
Brant C. Hadaway focuses his practice on international litigation and arbitration, including complex commercial disputes, liability and immunity of foreign sovereigns and state-owned enterprises, intellectual property, licensing agreements, admiralty and maritime law, insurance coverage, and appellate practice.
