Biography
R.W. “Rick” Simpson is a retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent who spent the final three years of his career leading the Miami International Corruption Squad which investigated FCPA, Kleptocracy, and Anti-Trust matters reaching to the highest levels of country and corporate governance.
In this role, Mr. Simpson developed excellent working relationships with top prosecutors and law enforcement officials in multiple countries and gained substantial experience navigating the complexities of multi-jurisdictional investigations.
His 26-year FBI career included significant time serving in Los Angeles, FBI Headquarters, Washington DC, and Miami.
He joined the FBI with a CPA background, having worked as a Controller for a group of structured finance corporations.
Throughout his FBI career, Mr. Simpson made extensive use of sophisticated investigative techniques while conducting numerous high profile organized crime, financial crime, and money laundering investigations. He has testified as an expert witness in financial crime matters.
Mr. Simpson is a certified anti-money laundering specialist (CAMS).
