Miami, July 1, 2021 – Miami-based global law firm Diaz Reus announced today that Partner Gary Davidson is the new Chair of the International Litigation and Arbitration Certification Committee of the Florida Bar.
For nearly a decade, Gary headed up the effort to create this board certification and, in 2017, Florida became the first state in the country to offer it, following a ruling by the Florida Supreme Court. Thereafter, in March 2018, he was appointed to The Florida Bar’s inaugural certification committee in this practice area.
In August 2019, three Diaz Reus Partners were among the first attorneys to be Board Certified in International Litigation and Arbitration.
Since the late 90’s Florida attorneys have increasingly been handling sophisticated, large scale international disputes that had been traditionally addressed by attorneys in New York and Washington DC. There has been remarkable growth in the number of highly-skilled attorneys in Florida who devote much of their time to handling international litigation and arbitration matters. The certification program in this area is a recognition of these developments.

Throughout his distinguished career, Gary has obtained favorable judgments on behalf of clients in complex international litigation, arbitration and commercial disputes. He has also served as an adjunct professor and visiting lecturer of law at universities in both the United States and Europe. Gary has been recognized in numerous legal guides, including Chambers, The Legal500 and Best Lawyers. Most recently, he has been interviewed by USA Today and Fox News and has appeared as a panelist on multiple Nancy Grace shows on Fox Nation.
