Under mainland <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span>&#8216;s law, the clause must mention the correct and complete name and place of the arbitration commission, as well as the specific arbitration rules to be applied.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Zhao also noted that arrangements between <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span> and mainland <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> allow for the reciprocal enforcement of arbitration awards made in either jurisdiction. \u00abThe <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span> judiciary recently adopted civil justice reforms, increasing the use of alternative forms of dispute resolution, including arbitration,\u00bb he said.<\/p>\n<p>Zhao spoke at the conference on \u00abRisks and Rewards of Doing Business in <span class=\"xn-location\">Asia<\/span>: Resolving Disputes Effectively.\u00bb\u00a0 Other speakers included <span class=\"xn-person\">Chiann Bao<\/span>, Secretary General, HKIAC, and <span class=\"xn-person\">Fernando Cantuarias Salaverry<\/span>, Dean of Universidad del Pac\u00edfico Law School.<\/p>\n<p>Bao noted that with its long \u00abEast meets West\u00bb history and special status, <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span> has also emerged as a favorite site for the resolution of Chinese-foreign business disputes.
