Ahmand R. Johnson
Mr. Johnson focuses his practice in the areas of entertainment and sports. Prior to joining Diaz, Reus & Targ, he worked with a major Florida law firm handling complex commercial litigation, intellectual property and sports/entertainment matters.
While at UCLA School of Law, Johnson co-founded a professional sports management company and gained significant entertainment experience as a law clerk at a well-known Los Angeles-based entertainment firm.
He is a National Football League Player Association (NFPLA) Certified Contract Advisor.
His lecture for the Florida Bar Entertainment, Arts and Sports Section “Attorneys vs. Agents in the Representation of Professional Athletes” was later featured as a Continuing Legal Education course with the Florida Bar.

- Successfully defended celebrity athlete client in high profile felony criminal matter, resulting in dismissal of charges;
- Represented All-Conference NCAA Division I football player in criminal investigation, resulting in local law enforcement declining to file charges;
- Represented NCAA Division I basketball player in criminal and Title IX investigations, resulting in local law enforcement declining to file charges and dismissal of Title IX probe;
- Represented NCAA Division I basketball player in appeal of NCAA suspension, resulting in reduction of suspension from full season, to 10 games.
