MIAMI, April 24, 2014 – International real estate firm DRT Global Real Estate, LLC successfully negotiated a $19.1 million deal, the largest land deal of the year in South Florida for 181 acres of prime residential land in northwest Miami-Dade County, on behalf of its client, Mazel Group, LLC.

Brooklyn-based Mazel, associated with developer Yehuda Backer, takes control of six parcels of unincorporated land, once home to the defunct California Golf Club.  The six non-contiguous lots, situated west of I-95 near Northeast Second Avenue, contain 30 acres of man-made lakes and are zoned to permit 702 housing units, a maximum six per acre, leaving 61 percent open space.

Zoning also stipulates that any development includes a community park with baseball and soccer fields, dog runs, pavilions, and rest areas.
